Ich habe soeben folgende eMail erhalten und da ich nicht so bewandert in Englisch bin hoffe ich der ein oder andere kann mir einen Tipp geben. ich mag nicht irgendwo meinen namen mit Adresse hinterlassen wenn ich nicht verstehe ob das ein linkes Ding (entschuldigt die Ausdrucksweise) ist.

It is not without indignation and sympathy that we carry to our attention the horrible acts that animals undergo on th island of Mayotte.



Pets are tortured by young individuals; they mostly aim at dogs.



Frightened dogs in Mayotte hide during the day in the bush and go out only during the night to feed themselves in the dustbin or, by chance, eat hedgehogs or sea turtles.



Puppies, dogs, sometimes kittens are stole, then poisoned, trapped until death follows. Those unhappy animals remain prisoners in the bush, in frightful conditions. A lot are sick, underfed. The favorite tortures of those individuals are hanging, burning, skinning live animals. Their limbsare cut without knives or machetes. The bitches are coveted for reproduction, by game or interest.



Those animals are also sold, used for hunting hedgehogs or commit thefts; these individuals use them to dishonest end. Dog fights are also very prized.

The local "culture" despises the dog who would be, to its eyes, unclean, dirty. This "culture" forbids to touch them, especially when a dog happens to slobber. It is true that rabies was rife in Mayotte, some centuries ago, which is not the case anymore today.



Mayotte which is a overseas territory should apply Articles L. 214-1 of the rural Code - Article L. 214-3 of the rural Code for the protection of pets. However, none of these main Articles of the European convention for pets of 13 November 1987 is applied.

There is no dog pound for pets in Mayotte. there are only pounds for zebus and goats. So we shuld believe that the sale of those animals, aimed at consumption, is more lucrative...



The need for protection of those animals is really urgent: 30000 dogs wander miserably in mayotte!



The only appeal that the local Authoritieshave found is to organise night battues, in order to eliminate wandering dogs with rifles. Who would dare claim we are in the 21st century, with such scandalous practices!



We, citizen from metropolitan france or elsewhere who care about the fate of animals, we beg you to act very quickly, to create one or several hosting structures (refuges) for wandering pets of the island and to apply the existing laws for their protection.



We are sorry to tell you that we will boycott tourism in Mayotte, as long as such atrocities last on this island become hell for innocent animals and that we will spread these horrible acts to the whole world.

Was meint ihr mit deuten? - Auf der Insel Mayotte (Nähe Madagaskar, frz. Staatsgebiet) werden Tiere, insbesondere Hunde auf grausame Art und Weise gequält. Die Leute, die dort leben sind zu mehr als 99% fundamentalistische Moslems (viele Koranschulen) und die hassen Hunde und so quälen sie sie eben (ihre Logik...). Sehr viele Jugendliche leben auf der Insel. Wenig Tourismus. Französische Tierschutzorganisationen wollen mehr Unterschriften:
